Our Philanthropy
Delta Phi Epsilon proudly supports three philanthropic endevaors throughout the school year. At the Beta Upsilon Chapter, we have unique events that celebrate and raise money for these causes.
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) - Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. CFF’s mission is to be the driving force into finding a cure, and Delta Phi Epsilon internationally has donated more than one million dollars to this cause.
At RIT, we raise money for CFF through our annual pageant, “Mr. RIT.” We invite members of the student body to perform on stage, raise money, and raise awareness for this cause, crowning one “Mr. RIT,” one “Mr. Congeniality,” and one “Fan Favorite” every year.
The National Association for Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders (ANAD) and the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) - As the first international sorority to partner with them, Delta Phi Epsilon has been supporting ANAD since 1985. DPhiE holds great value in the support of individuality and treasuring people for who they are, and not what they look like, encouraging healthy attitudes and kinder behavior on campus and greater communities.
At RIT, we have an annual “Be-YOU-Tiful Week,” where we table stand to raise awareness for our cause, cover the campus in positive messages through sticky notes, and offer fun events like Bowl-For-Body Image, Scale Smashing, and others to raise funds towards ANAD.
Delta Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation - A foundation that encourages the personal and professional development and excelling of our members, funding scholarships, mentorship, workshops, training, and additional resources to empower all that our sisterhood does.
At RIT, we host a one to two day event called “Haunted Trail,” a Halloween themed event in collaboration with Sigma Alpha Mu, taking place during Brick City Homecoming, which takes students through a haunted house themed trail walk, crossing through the forest outside of Grace Watson Hall. We also have offered pumpkin smashing and face painting, with split proceeds going to the Delta Phi Epsilon Education Foundation.
