The 5 S's

The 5 S's

Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority has identified five areas of development and personal growth among our members which cultivate a well-rounded and balanced sister. These areas are known as our five S’s: Sisterhood, Scholarship, Service, Self, and Social. Each active undergraduate member of DPhiE is expected to complete 21 PEARLs (Personal Enrichment Activities for Responsible Living) each academic year. The purpose behind this is so that each sister can intentionally engage in activities that fulfill areas of each of the five S’s.

SISTERHOOD
Sisterhood is one of the most essential part of a sorority. It helps create a supportive environment and a stronger chapter. We learn about how Delta Phi Epsilon came to be, as well as bonding with a chapter and learning about what it means to be a sister.

SCHOLARSHIP
The Scholarship PEARL helps sisters excel in their studies. We learn new study habits and time management skills to help us succeed not only in school but in the workplace as well.

SERVICE
Delta Phi Epsilon is very involved with their Philanthropies. We support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, ANAD, and the Delta Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation. As a chapter, we love to help contribute to make our community and world a better place.

SELF
Self PEARLS help the sisters of Delta Phi Epsilon practice healthy habits. We make sure everyone knows the importance of physical and well being. Taking care of yourself should always come first!

SOCIAL
Social PEARLS help create bonds with other greek and non-greek organizations. This betters the chapter’s communication skills. This also exposes the chapter to new perspectives and new experiences.
